“The earth is what we all have in common,” so let’s educate ourselves so we can take care of it.
A few weeks ago, I shared a list of 6 inspiring must-reads on sustainability. Now, here are 5 great documentaries relating to this topic that can hopefully also educate you, inspire you, and leave you wanting to make an impact on the world.
The True Cost
Have you ever wondered who really pays the price for our clothing? The True Cost brings the viewer into a journey around the world and into the lives of the many people and places behind our clothing. This is a great documentary to give you a different perspective on the clothes in your closet.
Cowspiracy
This documentary will teach you a lot about the impacts of animal agriculture. Cowspiracy not only shows how the dairy industry is negatively impacting the planet, but discusses why leading environmental organizations aren’t brave enough to talk about it.
Minimalism
This documentary explores consumerism and how our lives can possibly be better with less. Following all different types of people living with less stuff, Minimalism may make you think twice about the stuff you buy.
No Impact Man
Follow a man’s journey to make as little of an environmental impact as possible and live a zero-waste life for one year.
More Than Honey
More Than Honey examines the decline in bee colonies, why it may be happening, and what this could mean for our society. Keep in mind, “if bees were to disappear from the globe, mankind would only have four years left to live.”
Hope you get a chance to watch at least one of these. If you do, let us know what you thought of it in the comments below!
