c.HAIR.i.TEE® is a non-profit business built from the ground up from the home of Julie Bartos. One day in 1973, she started an idea of using recycled t-shirts to tie knots into hair ties and headbands. Over many years, she kept buying fabrics to piece together to pull back her own hair. She constantly needed hair ties to manage her hair during gymnastics practices. She was also working as a substitute coach and volunteering full-time for several months. Julie’s long-time best friend inspired her to finally present her ideas to the public in 2013. Now, turned into an amazing business and helping to donate to other American-based organizations. The c.HAIR.i.TEE® name was originally formed from how the products are made. c.HAIR.i.TEE® products are “hair” accessories made from recycled “tee” shirts.
At c.HAIR.i.TEE®, we have a supportive and honest team to help Julie Bartos (Founder & Owner) to get the jobs done. Every day we are working hard to help manage the business and keep it running smoothly.
Our mission is to continue using recycled fabrics in America, create more jobs in America, and continue to give back to America. We will always welcome sponsors to help us support our mission in donating our products to organizations. All 100% of profits (made by our company) are all donated to a charity every quarter of the year. The chosen charities are required to be non-profit organizations based in the U.S.A.
If you want to support us, as a customer, buyer, or charitable organization, you can apply to the “Charity of the Quarter” via our website at
